I know I’m late, but our girl Jessica can be seen in the big screens coming 2012! She’s set to have the lead female role in the comedy film Big Momma’s House 3! The film is currently in pre-production.

Jessica Lucas has snagged the female lead in the untitled third installment of the “Big Momma’s House” franchise.

Lucas currently stars in the CW revival of “Melrose Place.” Her feature credits include J.J. Abrams’ “Cloverfield.”

New Regency is fully financing and producing the next chapter in the raucous “Big Momma” franchise, which returns Martin Lawrence in the title role.

Director John Whitesell is set to begin lensing in April.

20th Century Fox will distribute.

Brandon T. Jackson (“Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief,” “Tropic Thunder”) joins the franchise as the nephew of Lawrence’s character. Duo dress as femmes and go undercover at a performing arts school.

Lucas’ character meets up with the nephew — first as a boy, and later as a girl.

David T. Friendly is returning to produce via Friendly Films.

OMG guys, I’m terribly sorry for the extreme lack. I have been extremely busy with my school work. Just wanted to let you all know that Jessica has a small roll in the film Dear John. She plays a nurse. I know I’m late on this, but in case you didn’t know I’d just thought I’d post it here.

Exciting news! Shock Till You Drop has just reported that Jessica has been cast in 2009 horror flick, ‘Drag Me to Hell’. Jessica will star alongside Justin Long and Alison Lohman whilst being directed by ‘Spiderman‘s Sam Raimi. Here is a very short summary about the film.

A morality tale about the unwitting recipient of a supernatural curse.

‘Cloverfield’ is set to be released on DVD on the 22nd April in Region 1 and should retail at around $27.95. The film itself will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. Extras will include a commentary by Director Matt Reeves, 4 featurettes (The Making of ‘Cloverfield’, ‘Cloverfield’ Visual Effects, I Saw It! It’s Alive! It’s Huge, and Clover Fun), 6 additional scenes (Congrats Rob, When You’re in Japan, I Call That a Date, It’s Going to Hurt, Alt Ending #1, Alt Ending #2), and multiple eastereggs. We have no word on a Blu-ray release at this time. Be sure to get your copy! I have added the front and back covers to the gallery. Fortunately, Jessica made it onto the back cover!
